Hey Bleeps!!!
Welcome to the Operation Write Home Blog Hop Virtual Card Making Party!!! If you would like to start at the beginning, please click the 4th of July Header at the top of this post. For my card challenge today, you are to make a vintage/distressed style card!!!

If you enter a vintage/distress style card during the blog hop then you will have a chance to win the brand new 11'-12' Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog that came out yesterday!!!! This is a $10 value full of gorgeous samples and of course Stampin' Up!'s awesome products!!! and for everyone who places an online order this July 4th holiday weekend will receive a catty as well (good only through me!)!!! and to sweeten the pot.....for anyone who signs up to be a SU! demo (through me only) will get a FREE Stamp Set of your choice from the new catty too!!! Yippee!!!! Also, right now, SU! is having a special of only $99 to sign up....but hurry....this offer is good til' the end of July only!!! ;)  Enter your cards at the bottom of this post and leave me a comment to be able to be entered into the drawing!!! Good luck!!!;)

OK, now when I think of vintage/distress, I think of old and worn out looking, pretty with elements or floral and flourishes and sponging of course! I also used the paper piercing technique and added some texture on my card too, just to help give it that overall feel of vintage....I hope I pulled it off and that you like my card!!! Happy 4th of July and remember all those who have served and are serving to protect our FREEDOM!!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have fun hoppin' ;)

Love this but vintage/distressed style card is almost impossible for me. Almost as bad as me trying to make masculine cards. But I might give it a try. Thanks.

This is beautiful Holley! You really know how to do vintage right. I love your style.

I am hoping I can unpack my supplies and play before the weekend is out... oh and of course do a little shopping from the new catty too!

Well Holley - I wasn't prepared for the vintage look today. I sorted through ALL of my ribbon drawer looking for a piece of old looking lace. I did not find any. But now thanks to you, my drawer is reorganized. . . we should definitely do this more often. :D

Your card is just gorgeous with all that texture and the beautiful, soft colors! I went with distressing on the masculine side, so thanks for the great challenge!

To me this card was really hard to make because trying to find paper that was vintage was definately the ultimate challenge!

Your card is beautiful. This was a harder challenge for me because I never do vintage. My card may be a bit of a stretch but I did try!
