spots and dots challenge
Hey there stampers!!!
I hope your week was a fab one!!! Today's card is from the challenge over at Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog to use Spot and Dots on your project. So I made a big spot on mine as the focal point, not too happy about the way the hearts turned out....I used my SU! markers, which are a bit dry, but you can say I meant to do that going for the 'distressed look', LOL!!!!
I also used two dotted DSP's from Stampin' Up! They gave me a cute digital stamp to use as well....I just love FREE, don't you? Anyways, no time to give you a card recipe....catching up on some much needed housework today, LOL!!!! But I can tell you that besides the digi stamp, it's all SU!......would it be anything else, heheheheheh!! Have a awesome and blessed weekend, thanks for popping in! ;)

Carousel Swan Card!
Hello Stampin' Peeps!
I hope you are having a great day so far! Well, the card today is for a sweet lady who always buys my cards from me. She is always having me make 'out-of-the-box' type cards!!! So, she asked me to make a swan carousel card!!! Um, I have no swan stamps....I do have a few carousel horse digital stamps....but that's it!!! What to do.....so, I contacted Sherry from Bits of Cheer! She came to my rescue!! She is not only apparently very talented....as you can see here from this wonderful drawing. But, she is the sweetest and most sincere person as well!!! So, I decided to make it an easel card....I know big surprise right? Two things I do alot.....easel cards and sponging, LOL!!! Don't forget to stop on over at Sherry's blog to tell her the world needs her beautiful artwork as digi stamps....maybe as a group we can talk her into it!!!;)*HINT~HINT* Have a great day and thanks for stopping by ;)

Not 'Holly Hobby'....but sorta!!!
![]() |

Isn't this a darling image? Take a wild guess who drew this!!! No,I can't take credit for this cute little 'Holly Hobby' girl....it's the very talented Sherry Hickey from Bits of Cheer!!! If you have never been to her blog....I highly recommend it....not only does she make beautiful cards for Operation Write Home....but she has written and illustrated a children's book as well!!! You can see my book review of her terrific book here. I bought her book from her a few weeks ago,and we got to chatting through email. She's such a sweetheart that I just had to ask her a favor!!! I mentioned how growing up I loved Holly Hobby ; hence the name of my blog!!! I also, love the Little House on the Prairie era as well. So, I asked... since she apparently has a gift of being able to draw(I can't draw a stick figure,LOL!!!)....yep,I thought....what the heck I'll just 'see' if she would be willing to try her hand at drawing a Holly Hobby girl for me!!! Well,of course we couldn't outright coping Holly Hobby because her image is protected through copyright laws and such....but she used Holly Hobby as inspiration!!! Wow!!! I'm so excited at how beautiful and sweet she looks!!! I don't even think I came close at justifying her on a card!!!

I had 'made' Sherry's original drawing into a 'digi stamp'....well,at least I 'think' I did, LOL!! I took the image (with the help of Photoshop Elements) and made the background transparent. Then saved it as a jpeg....so does that mean it's a digi stamp?....or is there more to the process!?!?! LOL,can you tell that I'm asking for help?!?!?! Any advice from peeps who have taken a actual hand drawn image and created your own digi stamps to share or sell....would be very much appreciated!!! ;) *hint.hint*

Two Cards For Etsy Customer

Hello and thanks for stopping by today! I am sharing two cards that I made over the weekend for a regular Etsy customer of mine. She always has me think outside the box! She will tell me about the person that she needs a card for. She tells me colors, theme and what she wants on the card. Sometimes it takes me awhile to come up with something I think will be good enough. She needed a sunflower card, and wanted the sunflowers to be 3-d to look realistic. I used my cricut to cut the flowers and the spritzer tool to add an interesting touch. The next card she asked me to make is for an accountant. She wanted math signs($,+,=,-,etc.)....I don't have anything like that at all. It still needed to be pretty for a woman ....I was at a loss. I asked my husband for help,he gave me some ledger paper, then I used a digital stamp from MDS and printed it out along with the word 'friend'....I hope she likes it! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!Recipe for Office card :
