Hello Bleeps (blog peeps!)
My card today is for Operation Write Home Sketch #34 again AND for the OWH Family Challenge!!!
The kids had fun writing a little note for anyhero and they made the card fronts, themselves. I am running low on cardstock....so I'll have to add them to the front of a card later on!!!!;)

Callie and her BFF!
We had some neighborhood kids come over to help!!! My card was being stubborn....and it seems I had trouble getting anything straight. Plus, I think I may have a problem with white space, LOL!!! I have to keep adding stuff because I feel it's too naked......or maybe it just seems that way cause I didn't sponge anything!!!! I know.....GASP, right!!!! Hehehehe!!!! You can see I did change up the sketch a tad, by moving the layers around.....oh, and my image was a little bigger measurements as well!!! Well, thanks for stopping by and have a great day;)

Gabby's Birthday!!

We celebrated my stepdaughter's Birthday last night.I made her a chocolate cake with chocolate icing. Most of the time it works out when she's visiting us during the summer we can celebrate her birthday. I got her a mini scrap booking album and gave her $$$. When kids get a certain age it seems that makes them the happiest!
My son made it to Texas just fine. He sat with another teen on the plane over and they played cards. This was only his second time to fly....he didn't admit it but I think he got a little scared! Well, thanks for stopping by....hopefully I'll have a project to share with you tomorrow!! ;)

MDS Pages!

I just noticed how fast this video goes! So I thought I'd post the pics so you can see them a little better if you wanted! Sorry about that.....still learning! You can click any picture to enlarge it! Thanks for stopping by!

Technical Thursday with MDS!

I made this video using SU!'s MDS. I love this program so far,it's very user friendly.....even for a computerly challenged person like me! These pic were taken around the kids birthdays! Since all my kids have their birthdays within weeks of each other,we just have small birthday celebrations.....and because they have them during the Thanksgiving break! They all wanted Sock Monkey's.....those are about $30 bucks a piece!! I thought that was high for a stuffed animal and since they were made in China! But they enjoyed them! I hope you like the video. Just playing with the programs designer templates, but I did add some stuff and delete some things.....it didn't take very long to create all these pages. I like how they turned out! Thanks for stopping by!

My boys and their scarves!

Well,Hunter and Jonathan had to jump in on sewing too!! So,I let them make scarves as well. Jonathan used some of the scrap material Granny sent.Hunter used an old sweater. I just cut off some of the bottom! It was a bit harder to sew because the fabric was stretchy, but for their first time they did pretty good. I had to guide the fabric more with the boys than I did with Callie.Shows you that girls are more patient than boys are!! Thanks for stopping by!

Proud Mom Moment!!

I am having a proud mom moment!!! Callie, my 7 yr. old just finished her first sewing project!!! My mom sent her some scrap material to practice learning to sew on a sewing machine. She made a cute little scarf!! It is quite short, but still,it's cute!! I'm very proud of her!! It took me alot of practice learning my machine.....she has picked it up really well! She sits in my lap and guides the fabric through the machine. I do put my foot over hers to help her try to get an even speed since my sewing machine doesn't have a speed control. I do recommend if you are wanting to learn to sew on a machine ,get a speed control,it would make it a bit easier to learn!! She was scared because she would press her foot on the pedal and it would go fast,so I help her,but other than that, she actually sews it herself!! Thanks for stopping by!

My Baby Boy is 17 today!

I feel so old!! My oldest child is 17 today and I can't believe it!! Where does the time go?? He wanted a cinnamon cake,so I found a recipe that I'm going to try. I've always used boxed cakes, so this will be my first time to make one from scratch.I'm also going to make a cream cheese icing...also from scratch! He wanted homemade chicken fried steak. I make that about once a year....it makes a mess and it takes awhile to get the smell of grease from your house! So,I bought some Tyson Chicken Fried Steak patties to cook in the oven....hope he doesn't mind!! But maybe when it's covered with gravy and with mashed potatoes on the side....he won't notice!! ;) Well, I'm off to do my chores and get cookin'!! Have a great day and thanks for stoppin' by!!

Twilight card

Hello peeps! A quick post today because Jonathan is home today from school. He's been throwing up and having the dreaded *D* word! But he seems to be feeling alot better and is hungry! He never has run any fever,so I think he will be just fine! Just hope it's not contagious!

Anyways,Calin will be 17 tomorrow!! I still can't believe it!! Since he loves twilight,I decided that it would make a perfect card! I printed an image off my computer and just colored it in using my pastel chalks! I hope he likes it! It's a little Gothic for my taste, but that's what's the in thing for teens nowadays! I did stamp a little on the background and on the bottom of the card (kinda hard to see!). Jonathan wanted to make his own for him....I like his too! Thanks for stopping by!
