The fun of this skip it to see how everyone used the same kit in different ways! Everyone got the same package in the mail with all the goodies to play with for this blog skip!! Two stamped images and three patterned papers, how fun!

 I watercolored the images with SU! inks and an aqua painter. I found a video the other day which took the NEW Cupcake Punch from SU! and  used it to make some clouds, I totally think that is the cutest! So I made some for the yellow flowered card. I also added dots to the image with a SU! white gel pen and made it an easel card too! You know I love easel cards, LOL!!!

The other card I used  the SU! Framed Oval Die and cut it out twice....I used last years DSP and ran the scalloped frame part through my crimping tool, then kinda pleated it around the oval. I then took some ribbon and pleated it around the DSP as well. The sentiment is from last years Sale-a-bration stamp set and the crazy shape was achieved by punching it out twice with the curly label punch!On both cards I punched out different sizes of flowers with the green patterned paper they gave us to use and nested them together.

 We are now doing cards for Valentine's Day for our troops!!! I know it seems kinda weird, but the Christmas deadline has passed.... remember, it takes awhile to go though the whole process....so we want to make sure that the soldiers receive the cards in plenty of time to mail them out to loved ones, so have those Valentine's card turned in by Jan 7th!

Operation Write Home Blog Tour and Blog Candy!!!

Hello and welcome to the Operation Write Home Blog Tour!!! I've only done two blog hops in my crafty lifetime....so I'm very excited to be apart of this new Blog Tour endeavor!! We were given instructions to make any type of Birthday card!!! I made two birthday cards!!! One for America's 234th Birthday, and one for anybody's birthday!! I finally ordered my OWH stamp today,so once I stamp all the backs of my cards that I've made over that last few months,I will be sending my package off for the troops!!! Now, onto my card I made for the Operation Write Home. Our instructions were to create something with a spring theme. My card is an easel egg- shaped card. I cut the egg shape twice for layering, with my Cricut Expression. I also took the Frame Oval Scallop Die and ran it through my Big Shot twice with very vanilla to get just the scallop frame. Then I crimped and pleated the scallop frame to make a kinda lacey- look. I also crimped the oval DSP as well. The whole card has been sponged/inked on the edges. I also used a ton of dimensionals for added depth. Well, here is more deets on the card,thanks for stopping by.
