Hey Bleeps!
Today's card is a simple sketch from Operation Write Home. Simple always throws me for a loop, LOL!!!! I used the scalloped flower technique for my embellishment, added the ribbon for the strip, punches for the sentiment and added another layer...but all in all stuck to the sketch! I decide that OWH needed another 'thinking of you' type card as they always are saying they need some, hehehehe!!! I hope a solider will give this to their loved one and they feel comforted holding this and thinking of their hero far from home!!!
Have a blessed week, thanks so much for stopping by!!;)

I hope your weekend has been a great one so far! Today's card wasn't for any challenges. Just made it for a sweet lady I met online.....both our kids have Aspergers, so we connected well!!
Anyways, we've shared alot lately and she has been a really good listener....so I wanted to say 'thank you' but didn't really want 'thank you' for my sentiment. I did the rock n' roll technique on the butterfly, I haven't done this is such a long time....I forgot how fun it is ;)
These gorgeous papers are from some blog candy that I won from Nancy!!! Thank you Nancy, I loved everything!!!
Well, have a wonderful week coming up and thank you so very much for poppin' in ;)

Hey Bleeps! I hope you've had a better week than I have. I've been battling a bad UTI. And if you've had one before, than you know what I mean when I say, UGH....and double UGH! Good news is went to the ER and got some meds....thank the Lord for modern medicine ;)
Anyways, I've been working on this project for awhile now.....and I was happy to see it fell into the challenge over at Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog. The challenge was to try something different. Well, I made my own box and matching cards. Also, the butterflies used the bleaching technique....which I know isn't very 'bleachy',LOL!!! I used a bleach pen ...thought it would be less messy.....which it was. Maybe it was because I used a aqua painter...even though I didn't water it down.....oh, well....I will practice more with this technique some more;)
Hey,I need some advice, I was thinking of putting these cards and matching box in my Etsy store. Do you think $15 or $20 for the set? I'm never good at pricing my own stuff!!! Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts!
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!
Hey there Bleeps!!!
Today I made this card for the Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog! It was all about celebrations!!! So this is for a birthday and who doesn't like cupcakes to celebrate? I tried to make it seem as though the cupcakes were at a sweet shoppe or something....like for a display of a bakery window perhaps? Anyways, I'm not sure people 'get' that as I asked my family and none of them 'got' it......oh,well.....maybe next time I'll actually put window panes to get my point across, LOL!!! I hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by! ;) Have a awesome weekend!!! We will....my daddy and step mom will be bringing my oldest son with them from TX....for over a week visit for Christmas!!! YAY!!! ;)

Well, I have been making cards for our troops for about two years now.....but, I recently heard about Operation Write Home and I knew I had to do my part!!! They are a great organization to be involved with. You make handmade cards (that are blank on the inside) to send to the troops so they can use them to send home to their loved ones. Also they encourage you to write a thank you note on a handmade card to give to any solider who is serving in the military!! I am currently adding to my box of cards....so it won't be long before they receive my very first box!!!! I need to get the OWH stamp to make it a little easier on the ladies ;) ....I hope to do that real soon!!! They also take donations,so be sure to check them out and get involved however you are able!!!!
My dad served in the Navy during Vietnam. My step dad did too, he was a Green Beret. My grandpa was in the Navy during WWII and some other family members have served in various wars and at various times; including my little sister, Honey. So, I am proud of all service men and women who put their lives on the line to protect what is most precious to us Americans.....our Freedom!!! I am proud to be an American and I thank God for our liberties and the sacrifices our military takes in order to keep that!! So, however I am able to help, I will do so!!! Anything that might make living apart from their loved ones, a little easier for these brave men and women, I'm all for!!!
Now,if you're ready to have some more fun you need to visit everyone's blog! Your next stop will be Kate. Her blog: Hello From Kate , is adorable and her cards are beautiful! Don't forget to leave some love along the way!! I know I love reading my comments.....it brings a smile to my face and warms my heart!!!
I made a video of me making my card today,I know I'm a dork!! But if you want a good laugh, check it out at the bottom of this post!! ;)
Now, I have a little challenge for you, if you want to play along! Alot of my cards are CASED from other stampers,or inspired in some way. So, if you would like to take Anyof my creations and make it your own, feel free to CASE. Just leave a comment and a link so others can come check out your project!! ;)
The theme was to use RED, WHITE, and BLUE ,with MISSING YOU!! I went for a vintage look to my card. I didn't do much stamping, instead I used my Cricut Expression!!! I hope you like it!!! Have an awesome Memorial Day Weekend and enjoy the hop and don't forget to sign up for my Blog Candy!!!

Hello peeps! I hope you had a great Weekend! I made this card really fast this morning after everyone was gone! This was my first card to use a digi stamp print out. I'm not sure where I got this from. I've downloaded lots of free down-loadable, digi stamps and printables over the last year or so. Anyways,I'll have to practice using them. I had trouble getting the printed image just right. But I still like how the finished card looks....very clean and simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
