Wow Wednesday!

close up of butterfly and sentiment

Hey there Bleeps!
I hope your week is going good so far! Today's project I made for a door prize for my upcoming scrapbooking class at the local library. It's an altered Starbucks carton and bottles. I'm not sure if I'll leave the bottles empty or not.....that way if they wanted to put something in them to give as a gift they could, what do you think?

Wow Wednesday

Hello and happy Wednesday to ya'!!! I made this to add to my Etsy store, it's for you to put your prayers into. I have one that I made for my family last year....my kids are always scribbling little notes to God on....I told them that they can write whatever they wanted to and I wouldn't look.....it's private between God and them!!! Boy, that's hard not to want to open that up and read their thoughts!!! ;) ....it's like putting sweets in front of a diabetic and saying look but don't touch!!!LOL!!! Anyways this falls under one of my own personal challenges called Wow Wednesday. I started those challenges when I started this blog but haven't been keeping up on it ,but I'm going to really try and do something crafty everyday and start blogging a little better....WELL,I have started my week off pretty good,so far!!! I just hope I can hold up!!! I'm also going to try and do at least one video a month as well ;)
If you would ever like to try one of my challenges, please feel free....just send me a pic of it so I can post it here too!!! I'd love to see your creative projects....you can see my list of challenges on the bottom right hand side of my blog. Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of the week! ;)

Wow Wednesday and OWH Sketch Challenge

This is for Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge # 18 and my own challenge ,Wow Wednesday! I used my new Cricut Cartridge "Once Upon A Princess". I've been in a somewhat fog lately with all the stress of my oldest son, please keep us in your prayers....it seems he does in fact have Asperger's along with some other problems....seems like when you go to get second opinions, you can get totally different ones....hummmmm....just makes you wonder about all this mental diagnosis going on with kids these days. Sorry to rant, just my two cents worth, but I do realize my son does needs help,so he will keep going to therapy. Just need all the prayers we can get, thanks in advance!
Anywhoo, don' forget this Saturday is Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop!!! I will have some blog candy and hopefully a tutorial (my camera isn't cooperating,so that may not happen!). Taking a second look at this card,it might not fit with the sketch so much.....oh,well!! ;) Anyways, here's the deets of today's card. Thanks so much for visiting me! Have a great day ;)

Valentine Pop Top Can

Hello and thank you for visiting me today. I made this pop top can as a teacher gift for Valentine's Day.This was a soup can,I washed it then dried it out.I will fill it with some chocolate candy. I used some paper and silk flowers I've had for awhile. I did hand sew the button on and punched the sentiment out with the large and small tag punches.I'm not sure of the stamp set,it's retired now, but it might be called 'Too Terrific Tags'.I also used my cricut for the scallop on the top.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wow Wednesday Altered Project

Today I finished a project that I've been working on for todays challege, using those Starbucks Frappuccino 4 packs you can get at the stores. I think that it turned out pretty cute. I didn't make sure that the DSP was lined up very good. So,I had to put a strip of DSP to cover the 'seam'. Then the seam wasn't lined up either,...so....I covered that up by the strips of DSP on the top and the bottom........so needless to say,it's a bit 'bulky' to take in and out!! I added the layers of silk flowers and punched flowers because it looked weird to have the strip of DSP going down the middle!! Crazy,I know....you can't see it now....but in the end,I'm happy how it came out! Thanks for stopping by!
