Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted since Monday....it's 'that' time...if you know what I mean, and it takes me a few days to feel like myself again....so,I'm feeling better now.
I made this card for a boy's birthday for the Operation Write Home Birthday Card Challenge.....I'm working on a girl's card for tomorrow. Anyways,I'm trying to use up some pattern papers I've had forever.....and I used some embossing folders to add some texture! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Recipe for card:

  • Card stocks : Marina Mist,Tempting Turquoise,Apricot Appeal,WW and Certainly Celery
  • Stamp Sets : Greetings Earthlings and Lots of Bots
  • Inks: Stazon Black
  • Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pen
  • Large Eyelets from Stash
  • Pattern Papers from stash
  • Cuttlebug folder Spots and Dots
  • Square Lattice Embossing Folder

Holley - I LOVE this card.... the movement on the background paper echoes the movement of your monster perfectly. I swear he looks as though hes about to do a little break dancing! I love all those textures on the background, too. All round fabulous card.. it really made me smile! You know that the child of a serviceman/woman is going to cherish this card!
Have a fabulous day
Hugs

Love the embossing of the patterned paper. I think I "need" that embossing folder :) it's one I don't have and I love the color combination. Your cards are always so nice!

I love all the textures and colors. Kind of makes you want to dance. And thank you for your very kind comments on my blog, and photos do disguise the boo boos.

Hi Holley, your card is amazing, better than the latest 3-D movie! A little boy will treasure it.

I love all of the texture that the embossing gives to the card. I don't know why I am so afraid to use multiple embossed items together.
