My Craft Project Central Guest Design Team Project!!!

Hope you had a fab weekend!! I'm so excited, today is the day that my project is featured on Craft Project Central's website!!! I was so nervous designing something fitting for this amazing website....it has tons of beautiful projects from the very creative design team!!!!!! and let me just say, doing a step by step project is soooooooo much more to just taking pictures, LOL!!!! I would've never guessed how much time and energy goes into a tutorial!!! Oh, my goodness.....maybe it's just me, I'm totally not tech savvy, LOL!!! But, I put in many hours of hard work and so did my hubby, LOL!!! He was my tech support.....hehehehehehe!!!

Hey there stampers!!!
I hope your week was a fab one!!! Today's card is from the challenge over at Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog to use Spot and Dots on your project. So I made a big spot on mine as the focal point, not too happy about the way the hearts turned out....I used my SU! markers, which are a bit dry, but you can say I meant to do that going for the 'distressed look', LOL!!!!

I also used two dotted DSP's from Stampin' Up! They gave me a cute digital stamp to use as well....I just love FREE, don't you? Anyways, no time to give you a card recipe....catching up on some much needed housework today, LOL!!!! But I can tell you that besides the digi stamp, it's all SU!......would it be anything else, heheheheheh!! Have a awesome and blessed weekend, thanks for popping in! ;)

Once again we used some free digi stamps they gave us (just one of the perks to being on a Design Team, LOL!!!).....so cute (sorry my photos aren't great....ever since I dropped my camera......it's been a little sick, LOL!!!! plus it was a cold and rainy day.....so not great lighting either....just my luck!!!) My card was rather simple in design, made super quick on the fly.....that's how I roll (well.....more and more it seems these days, since I started work anyways, LOL!!!).

My son's Grungy Birthday Card!

Today my son Cody turns 14, so I made him a birthday card!!! He was a strapping 9lbs. 2 oz. and 22 1/2 inches long.....I remember it like it was yesterday.....my how they grow up!!! To the rambunctious toddler who I thought would NEVER out grow those terrible two's.....to a very sweet young man that he is today!!!

I don't know about you.....but teen cards are a struggle for me, LOL!!!

Today's card is for the challenge sketch over at Operation Write Home. Sorry the pics are a bit dark, I was too lazy to clean off my usual place where I normally take my pics, LOL!!! My scrapbook room is a total mess, ugh.....I guess I'll pick it up now, LOL!!!

I added a dab of Crystal Effects to the kitty's nose and put some black crumbles of card stock on it....kinda like my own flocking! I masked off a punched circle and sponged the pumpkin ink all over the background..... Oh, and don't worry.....I mail out one large box of my cards to OWH a year.....that way I don't feel like I have to reach all the deadlines on time (WOW! Jeez, now I sound completely lazy, HUH???? My excuse is I have 5 kids at home, LOL!!! Does that make a difference at all???)!!! LOL!!! So anyways, this will go to some soldier's child next Halloween, I'm sure!!! ;)

Sorry I've been MIA.....oh, life!!!!What can I say? I did do 62 scrapbook pages for a friend of mine....but didn't take any pics, LOL!!! I was on a deadline to get them done, so they were plain and definitely not my best work...but had to get it done in 24 hours for a last minute gift!!! Talk about stress, hehehehe...but I did manage to throw those pages together in no time flat! HA!

I did use a longer strip as well as added a layer and different shape other than the oval. This is a really simple card, which I do love simple....but feel I need to 'work' on my simple, LOL!! OK, I've been driving myself crazy with this DSP from SU! It's totally gorgeous.....the problem? It actually hurts to cut it up, LOL!!! It's too beautiful.....the good news? At least you get two each of every design;)

So, this is a pretty simple card....I just cut (YIKES!!!) the silhouette girl swinging to a 5 1/2 X 4 1/4....for a card front and just added a sentiment. I think I even let out a YELP as I made the cut, LOL!!! ;) This goes along with the Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog, anything but birthday!!!

Today's card I made for a friend who lost her aunt. Seems like I've had to make too many of these types of cards lately. It's always hard, plus....what do you say when someone is hurting? It's so hard to comfort them. Well, all I can say is "I'm praying for you" and make a card for them. It seems so little, but I hope it does help in some small way.

On my card I kinda was inspired by the front cover of the new SU! IB&C! I love getting inspriation from all around you.....and what better inspiration is there other than Stampin' Up!

Today's project is for my twins' teacher....this year they got the same teacher, YAY, thank goodness......makes homework a little easier!!!!

It's her birthday today, so they tell me this last night, LOL!!! So, I made her a quick card using this DSP from SU! IB&C that I totally love! I also made her a matching mini milk carton that holds Hershey's Kisses!

The only stamping was done on the tag......I cut out those larger silhouettes from the actual pattern on the paper! The silhouettes of the boy and girl reminds me of my sweet twins, so it was perfect for their teacher!!! I sure hope she likes it!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!;)

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Here is a card I made for the challenge over at Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog. I haven't done one of their challenges in awhile. I made this card for a lady at church, it was her birthday!

The other card (black and white one) I made for someone who just lost his momma. I know that has to be a difficult thing, to lose a parent. I haven't had to deal with that yet, and I sure hope I don't for a very long time to come!!! I know we all must go at some point though....but I can't imagine losing my parents. My hubby lost his dad to cancer about 6-7 years ago and I know the pain he went through dealing with that. I know it's never easy for anyone. Even if you think you are prepared, you just never are. Only God can help someone at that point.

I hope your week is going good so far!!! Today I wanted to show you what I made with the Christmas Keepsake that I got for FREE from Stampin' Up! Yes, I love my job, LOL!!! SU! gave us this whole kit with everything to make this gorgeous box for new recruits and demos....with the leftover pieces I made an matching card too.
It was pretty easy, I just followed their included instructions. I made it pretty close to theirs....although mine came out a little different and I didn't use all the pieces on the box. Click any picture to enlarge.

I hope your week has been blessed so far!!! I know mine has!!! I am praising God for what is going on in our family!!! Thank you for all who have been praying for us....my son is starting to grow in his faith and growing closer to God! For a young man who has Aspergers and ADD.....he's always struggled.....but I see God working on him and through him.....our God is AMAZING when we allow HIM to do the work and not force it and try to fix it ourselves, LOL!!! I've been humbling learning this over these last couple of weeks!!! ;)

I hope your week is blessed so far. For today's card, I used a sketch challenge from OWH. But this card I am giving to the youth counselor at our church, (I will try to use this sketch later for a card for the troops). It's his birthday, so I thought I'd let the kids give him this. He plays the guitar and sings in the worship band too, I sure hope he likes it.
Things are going great so far with my oldest son since he has been back home. But please continue to pray for us......he has a long road to travel with his life: Aspergers, depression and anger problems are always a difficult thing to have to overcome in a young man's life! But with God's help, I know we will get through this as a family!

Sorry, I've been so busy lately.....my mommy dearest was here for a week to visit and my son came home with her. Plus, the littler kids started school.....now two of them have strep throat, UGH!!! My kids always get that.....I asked the Dr what was up with that and she said...."Well, you have alot of kids and strep is contagious!"....hummmmm, ya' think? I even change their toothbrushes, etc.....so, I officially hate strep.....

Today's card is a simple sketch from Operation Write Home. Simple always throws me for a loop, LOL!!!! I used the scalloped flower technique for my embellishment, added the ribbon for the strip, punches for the sentiment and added another layer...but all in all stuck to the sketch! I decide that OWH needed another 'thinking of you' type card as they always are saying they need some, hehehehe!!! I hope your weekend has been a great one so far! Today's card wasn't for any challenges. Just made it for a sweet lady I met online.....both our kids have Aspergers, so we connected well!!

Anyways, we've shared alot lately and she has been a really good listener....so I wanted to say 'thank you' but didn't really want 'thank you' for my sentiment. I did the rock n' roll technique on the butterfly, I haven't done this is such a long time....I forgot how fun it is ;)

I made two cards today for our American Soldier's. I send them to an organization called Operation Write Home. They have different challenges to get you in the creative mood, here's the sketch from this weeks challenge and I also combined it with the kid's card challenge!!!

Here's my take on the challenge, as you can see I made a boy and a girl card. I liked this simple sketch.....didn't take me long to make both cards!!!! I did change up the girl card a little, and I had to add my sentiment there...I got a dab of ink in that spot, LOL!!! ;)

I hope you enjoyed the blog hop this weekend for Operation Write Home!! The winner of my blog candy is Veronica! Congrats girl....I know you will love that stamp set (my cards today are both made using the stamp set you won!!)!!!;)
I love making cards....especially when they are for our troops who put their lives on the line for us!!! I'll be making cards with a full heart for the troops a little more these days!!! My nephew will be leaving for boot camp next month....he's just a baby at 18 and recently graduated HS.....I'm happy for him....but as an aunt I can't help but be a bit worried.....especially since he will be training to learn how to de bomb a bomb!!! Sounds crazy...but I guess that's how you say it???

Speaking of graduation....my oldest son will be graduating for HS this weekend as well......so I will be traveling to Big T....that's TEXAS for those of you who don't speak Texan, LOL!!! I can't wait....seems like just yesterday he was just a babe and I was a nervous first time mom.....my how time flies, huh?
He will be moving back home in another month or so.....so this will be just a short trip and I'll be traveling without the rest of the fam....boo-hoo!!! But at least I can visit my grandma and see some friends and family that I haven't seen in 4 years or more!!

OK, so I will post two cards for you today....one is the graduation card I made for my son....and the other I forgot to share last week when it was my anniversary!!! Graduation Layout!

Hello Bleeps!

Today's project is a digital scrapbook layout for Late Night Stampers. I made a simple graduation layout of my son (it took me about 10 minutes to make, using MDS from Stampin' up!!!!), he will be graduating in two weeks! Oh, where oh, where does the time go?!?!?!
School is out now, so I officially have a HS graduate, a 8th grader, 5th grader and the twins are 3rd graders (and my step daughter Gabby will be in 7th grade...I think, or maybe it is 8th....not sure!!!)......I wish I could pause life sometimes.....my babies are getting bigger and I don't like it one bit!!!(((sniff)))!!!
Anyways, I hope you like the layout...I was going for kinda a grunge look, LOL!!!

Today is the last day of school here....so of course I waited until today to make up something for the teacher's.....I hate it when I do that!!! Anyways, I'm too tired to post all the deets....but it's all Stampin' up!....and as you can see I used the owl punch ;0

Wonderful Grandma!

Hello Bleeps!
Today's card is for the challenge over at Late Night Stampers. We were to use three embellishments on our cards. I used ribbon, some retired hodgepodge hardware with a brad and a punched piece.
This is for my Grandma, who is in the hospital after suffering from a stroke, she is 81 years old ....please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!!! It's been a tough few weeks for my family, first my brother and now my g'ma....and the worse part is I'm in GA and all my family is in TX!!! I will be going out there in June....and I can't wait to give her a squeeze!!!

Patriotic for Late Night Stampers!

I hope you had a very Blessed Easter, we sure did! Remember, Easter ain't all about eggs,candy and the Bunny, LOL!!! It's about what Christ did for us!!! And I'm sure glad He did....cause' I don't know about you...but I'm a sinner in need of help for life!! ;)

Well, today's card is for the challenge over at Late Night Stampers, to make something patriotic. I used some retired DSP that actually is a western themed paper pack, but I liked the colors and it did have some stars on it too!!! I made the 'banner' by using the scallop square punch and cutting it in half and layering it. It's a pretty simple card....hope you like it!

I wanted to use up the rest of the ribbon I used on my other card from about two weeks ago, and I do so love this stamp set!!!! It's basically the same card recipe that I used on this card here......well, except for the obvious use of the scallop square die and adding the butterflies! And Boo....I don't have anymore of this pretty ribbon!!!

Hey there Bleeps (blog peeps!)
Today's card I made for my kid's friend birthday!!! I got this stamp set FREE from Stampin' Up!.....just one of the many reasons I love being a demo. FREE is my favorite word, LOL!!! I had to ink it up as soon as I got it.....I'm quite impatient!!! So, I stamped the gruff little bear on card stock twice and cut him out. The s'mores were inked and stamped on card stock too....I used some liquid applique' for the marshmallows and then heat set it to make it puff up. I may have gotten a tad crazy on making the bear a messy eater, LOL!!! But, this is for a 9 yr old's bday, so it doesn't matter as much, I don't think he will mind!!! I just couldn't stop and now he looks like he might be foaming at the mouth....and if you've ever seen my kids eat their s'mores, it fits....hehehehe!

I used Crystal Effects on the chocolate part, so it has a shine. A few years ago my sister gave me some clear gel tacky glue from Aleene's and said it was "similar to CE"....so, I never bought any from SU! before. Well, I got this bottle FREE (gotta love FREE, right?)....so anyways, just for the record.....Crystal Effects is nothing like the clear gel glue!!! I'm in love with this CE now and I could just kick myself for not buying it earlier!
Anyways, I chose the sketch over at Operation Write Home since I already had the pieces cut and ready to go, this card took maybe 5 minutes to complete, LOL!!

I hope you had a great weekend!! Today's card is for the challenge over at Late Night Stampers Design Team to make a baby card! I just got this stamp set today from Stampin' Up! for FREE!!!

During Sale-a-bration I got a new recruit and had the biggest sales totals I've ever had before.....Yippee!!! So, I got some FREE products plus two stamp sets at any price!!! I love FREE.....it's my favorite word, LOL!!!
I have been eyeing this stamp set for a long time.....so I went ahead and chose it as one of my free sets!! So, as soon as I unpacked it, I inked it up.....I can tell I will dearly love each and every image that's in this set!!!!So many possibilities, I love it!!!

I hope your week has been fab so far!!! Today's project is for an upcoming scrapbooking class that I will be teaching at the local library!!! Two Challenges in One!!!

I hope you had a great weekend! Today's card combines two challenges. The Late Night Stampers Flower image challenge and Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge. Here is the sketch they gave us at OWH.

That was a tough sketch, I tell ya'. I added a greeting and some ribbon....then I added some layers and tilted the panels....but, hopefully you can still 'see' the sketch.....I tried it so many ways, and it never looked right.....but when I added the cherry cobbler card stock , it was something I could live with, LOL!!! Thank you for all your many prayers for my little brother, I really appreciate it....please continue to pray for him as his health is still shaky!

Today's card isn't for any challenges, LOL!!! I actually put it together myself, yay me.....hehehe!!!! I had this ribbon for awhile in my stash and wanted to use it, thanks mom! So, I sponged and used card stock and pattern paper colors to match the colors from the ribbon.....even though I didn't have the exact colors, since this isn't Stampin' Up! ribbon....I think it turned out to be fine! I also, used little tiny scraps of card stock to make crumpled flowers and then used a SU! marker to add depth to the flowers! If you love this image, it is a gorgeous stamp set from Stampin' Up! Sorry I've been MIA lately. My younger brother has type 2 diabetes and is only 32 yrs old. He was in ICU because he wasn't taking care of himself like he should!!! He is out now and is doing much better....but it was touch and go for awhile because his kidneys were trying to shut down! Please keep him in your prayers as he still has a long road to haul....and he really needs to take his diabetes seriously and take care of himself better!!!

I received this gorgeous card in the mail Friday from Karrie O. Isn't it beautiful? I just love it. It's really so much better in person, what can I say? I have a crappy camera or I guess it's my crappy photography skills, LOL. I really love her sponging which gives it such a soft look....don't you think? She used the stamp set Just Believe from Stampin' Up!.....now I really need this stamp set after seeing her lovely card, LOL!!!

Wow Wednesday ~Altered Vintage Projects!

Hey there Bleeps!
Well, I barely made it for this to be a Wow Wednesday, LOL!! I altered some items recently to put in a little boutique along with about 35 cards....hopefully I can sell some stuff.......

Anyways, on both projects I used the new Botanical Gazette DSP from the Occasions Mini....I love that paper!!! I bought a little silver tray from a thrift store awhile back.....after seeing some altered ones on the net before!!! Then my mom sent me this vintage spoon, the handle is bent back....I'm assuming for babies when they ate??? I just covered them with paper and added some embellies.....too easy and lots of fun too!!!

I hope you had a Blessed Weekend! For today's card I used The new DSP from Stampin' Up! for the Design Team Challenge over at Late Night Stampers. We were asked to make a spring/Easer card....so I used the gorgeous SpringTime Vintage papers from the Occasions Mini catty!! I think the blue ones are my fave......so, I hated to cut it up!!! I used another one of my Grandma Tanner's buttons, which I think adds to the cards vintage look. It will take me awhile to get used to using these small little flowers from this new stamp set, also in the Occasions Mini ....they are two stamp stamps ,which I love....but are smaller stamps than I'm used to and took me a little bit to get it right....then, after trying so danged hard.....I decided to cut those little flowers out by hand.....which was a little time consuming, LOL!!! Then, DH said I needed another one on the bottom of the bow....so, then of course, I had to add it.....sometimes I wish I had a craftin' friend at my beck and call.....just to ask those questions I run to him for....you know.....how does this look? does this need something? what's missing? LOL!!!! I think he personally likes to torture me and tell me stuff, just to mess with me (and get me outta his hair!!!), LOL!!!

But in the end, I liked it, or are the ribbon tails too much? I hope they don't look like octopus tentacles or something and what about the pearls and butterflies....too much too???? Hope it's not too busy for ya', LOL.....I wonder what hubby would say......no, forget it.....I'm sooooo done!!!LOL!!!!

Good morn' Bleeps!

Last year about this time....I decided that I wanted to take my Stampin' Up! 'hobby' and try to make it a 'business'!!! Since then I have signed up one demonstrator and over the weekend I'm happy to say I just signed up another one!!! **SQUEAL** I have a small online stamp club (that helps me meet my miniums), will be teaching two upcoming classes at the local library.....I've had some online sales over this past year of peeps I don't even know!.....I've had a few workshops this year.....what else, hummmmm....OH yeah, I've gotten some FREE stamp sets from SU! and I've already earned several sets because of my sales (and we still have a month to go!) thanks to SALE-A-BRATION.....I'll be getting those sets whenever the Sale-a-bration promotion ends!!!

Hey there Bleeps!
Today's card is for the Operation write Home Sketch Challenge #57 and it fits with OWH's any occasion challenge, too. I added the ribbon, but everything else is pretty much the sketch! I tried something new with my ribbon.....I took some scrap strips of seam binding and tied them into a knot and made them 'ruffle' by pulling the strands of string....then added a button from my stash my Grandma gave me years ago. My BigShot Threw Up! LOL!!!!!

Bigshot Galore is definitely all over this one, LOL!!! I used the Bigshot a lot for this card for the Late Night Stampers DT Challenge! Can you tell what the challenge was.....uh....yep, to use your bigshot ;) I didn't mean to get carried away, but that's kinda what happened here..... it looks like my BigShot threw up all over my card, LOL!!! I hope it doesn't come off too tacky for you guys!!!
I kinda used a old sketch I made up for a vintage style Valentine card I made here, which on that card it seemed to fit a little more. I'm not too sure about this one....but, then again....there are elements I like about it ((shrugs)). It's just one of those love/hate relationships, KWIM??? Anyways, I hope you get SOME inspiration from it!

Butterfly Sympathy Card

Hey there Bleeps!
Today's card isn't one you like to make....but sometimes it has to be done. My husband's uncle isn't doing well.....they have called hospice in and pretty much said it could be anytime now. So, I thought I'd make a card, so that way when he does pass.....we can just mail it out....since they live out of state. I know it's part of life.....we are only here for a moment....but it never gets easy seeing someone you love and care about leave. Especially, when they linger on, so hard to watch our loved ones suffer. Please keep Todd's Aunt Billie and their family in your prayers ....no matter how old they are and even though they have lived a full life, it's still hurts!
I kept the card pretty simple and started to add some ribbon.....but decided against it.....hope you like it.

6. I have a sweet tooth!

7. AND since I've got a sweet tooth and have given birth to so many kids....I'm losing weight (I put it off far too long, LOL!!!)....click here to learn more!

I'm happily married....but would've never dated him in HIGHSCHOOL.....you should know that we did go to school together, but never dated (he was kinda nerdy, LOL!!!), and he still is BTW, only now it doesn't bother me like it would've back then ;).....but we reunited on our 10 year HS Reunion and have been together ever since, LOL!!! That's our little Love Story!! ;)

Happy Valentine's Day!!! Today's card is for the Design Team Challenge over at Late Night Stampers. The challenge was to make masculine cards. I will be the first to admit it that this is not my strong point, I do struggle with making masculine cards! Plus, I don't own alot of manly stamps or embellishments! I think that needs to change, LOL!!!

My card also fits in with last Sunday's Sketch Challenge# 55 over at Operation Write Home. I sponged the background and each panel as well....which is something I love doing!!! Sponging is my thang, LOL!!! I also distressed the panels with the distressing tool and used an embossing folder on them to give it texture!
