Operation Write Home Challenge!

Hey Bleeps (blog peeps)!

Today's card is for the challenge over at Operation Write Home.....Masculine cards!!!

I usually struggle with manly cards. I really do need to invest in more masculine stamps and papers......Anyways, I ended up liking how this one came out, even though I have used this stamp set a lot.....guess I got my money's worth, LOL!!! So, to get some mojo.....I simply Googled this stamp set and got a few ideas here and there from different cards and put it together.......

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by! ;)

Card Recipe:

Card stocks: Crumb Cake, VV Naturals and Cherry Cobbler
Ribbon: Stamped Twill Tape
DSP: Nautical Expedition
Punches: Large and Wide Ovals
Framelit Dies: Apothecary Accents
Inks: Early Esspresso, Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy
Stamp Set: Open Sea
Build-a-Brad with a small circle punched out with DSP
Hint: There is not a layered Framelit for this shape, I simply traced around the framelit and then cut it out  freehand and turned it over after using the distressing tool along the edge!

I love this ribbon!

Today I got a call from a friend. Her friend lost her brother suddenly, so I made a card for her to give to her friend....times like these are difficult enough....something handmade is better than store bought.
I sure hope she likes it, I sponged it like crazy and put alot of love into it..... thanks so much for stopping by and have a fab weekend!!! ;)
