Big Bow card!

Hey there bleeps! (blog peeps)
I hope your weekend has been a great one so far! Today's card wasn't for any challenges. Just made it for a sweet lady I met online.....both our kids have Aspergers, so we connected well!!

Anyways, we've shared alot lately and she has been a really good listener....so I wanted to say 'thank you' but didn't really want  'thank you' for my sentiment. I did the rock n' roll technique on the butterfly, I haven't done this is such a long time....I forgot how fun it is ;)

These gorgeous papers are from some blog candy that I won from Nancy!!! Thank you Nancy, I loved everything!!!

Well, have a wonderful week coming up and thank you so very much for poppin' in ;)

cards for troops kids

Hey there Bleeps (blog peeps!)
I made two cards today for our American Soldier's. I send them to an organization called Operation Write Home. They have different challenges to get you in the creative mood, here's the sketch from this weeks challenge and I also combined it with the kid's card challenge!!!

Here's my take on the challenge, as you can see I made a boy and a girl card. I liked this simple sketch.....didn't take me long to make both cards!!!! I did change up the girl card a little, and I had to add my sentiment there...I got a dab of ink in that spot, LOL!!! ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!;)

OK, now when I think of vintage/distress, I think of old and worn out looking, pretty with elements or floral and flourishes and sponging of course! I also used the paper piercing technique and added some texture on my card too, just to help give it that overall feel of vintage....I hope I pulled it off and that you like my card!!!
