Scrapbook Layouts

OK, May has been National Scrapbooking Month.....did you know that??? Well,I didn't do any 'new' pages this month....in fact, I haven't done traditional scrapbooking since last year!!! I'm sooooo bad, and to top that off....the pictures in these scrapbook layouts are from 2003.....except for the first two page layouts!! Those picture are from when my oldest son was about 5 yrs. old....he'll be 18 in Dec.!!! I have so many old photos to scrapbook,it's not even funny!! I don't own a 35 mm anymore, does anyone nowadays?? So, when I do scrapbook ,it's digitally using MDS from SU!!! Love that program!!! You can click on the pics to enlarge the photo.
I wanted to tell you guys how touched I was, from all the sweet uplifting comments during the Memorial Day Blog Hop!!!! Thank you so much,I'm trying to go through and visit everyone's blogs to do the same!!! I had a blast during the hop and I hope you did as well!! Operation Write Home is such a great organization....hope you have the time to find out how you can participate!!! It's all about giving back....and after the stories and videos shared during the hop....I don't see how anyone would be able to not to help out in some way!! Have a great Memorial Day and stop to say a prayer to all those serving in our military......thanks for stopping by!! ;)

Welcome to Operation Write Home  Memorial Day Weekend Blog Hop!!! If you have come from Stars and Stamps Blog ,then you are in the right spot!!! I'm second on the list,so please start at the beginning here.

Well, I have been making cards for our troops for about two years now.....but, I recently heard about Operation Write Home and I knew I had to do my part!!! They are a great organization to be involved with. You make handmade cards (that are blank on the inside) to send to the troops so they can use them to send home to their loved ones. Also they encourage you to write a thank you note on a handmade card to give to any solider who is serving in the military!! I am currently adding to my box of cards....so it won't be long before they receive my very first box!!!! I need to get the OWH stamp to make it a little easier on the ladies ;) ....I hope to do that real soon!!! They also take donations,so be sure to check them out and get involved however you are able!!!!

My dad served in the Navy during Vietnam. My step dad did too, he was a Green Beret. My grandpa was in the Navy during WWII and some other family members have served in various wars and at various times; including my little sister, Honey. So, I am proud of all service men and women who put their lives on the line to protect what is most precious to us Americans.....our Freedom!!! I am proud to be an American and I thank God for our liberties and the sacrifices our military takes in order to keep that!! So, however I am able to help, I will do so!!! Anything that might make living apart from their loved ones, a little easier for these brave men and women, I'm all for!!!
Now,if you're ready to have some more fun you need to visit everyone's blog! Your next stop will be Kate. Her blog: Hello From Kate , is adorable and her cards are beautiful! Don't forget to leave some love along the way!! I know I love reading my comments.....it brings a smile to my face and warms my heart!!!

I made a video of me making my card today,I know I'm a dork!! But if you want a good laugh, check it out at the bottom of this post!! ;)
Now, I have a little challenge for you, if you want to play along! Alot of my cards are CASED from other stampers,or inspired in some way. So, if you would like to take Any of my creations and make it your own, feel free to CASE. Just leave a comment and a link so others can come check out your project!! ;)
The theme was to use RED, WHITE, and BLUE ,with MISSING YOU!! I went for a vintage look to my card. I didn't do much stamping, instead I used my Cricut Expression!!! I hope you like it!!! Have an awesome Memorial Day Weekend and enjoy the hop and don't forget to sign up for my Blog Candy!!!

More Little Baby Critters

Sorry about the sporadic placement of the pics here,I was trying to make a kind of collage with the pics. I've seen it on other peeps blogs....I just couldn't figure it out!!! Since I had a bunch of photos I didn't want it to be a long post,KWIM??? LOL!!! Do I even make any sense?? Hahahahah!! ;) You can click the pics to enlarge them.
Anywhoo,I made these cute little baby critters by using Stampin' Up! Punches and using my Cricut Expression. I got the main idea from Andrea last year,so I just expanded it some!!!! I've also made baby roses, that I've posted before.....I'm trying to think of all sorts of babies I could make. I think they would be cute on cards or scrapbook pages,or gift tags!!!
These babies are for a customer on my Etsy. She also bought all of my Scrapbook pages I posted using these same babies a couple of weeks ago,as well as some cards. That was the biggest order I've done so far on my Etsy!!! *YAY ME!!!* LOL!!! ;)
Well, have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!! Oh,and don't forget to stop by Saturday for the OWH Blog Hop and sign up for my Blog Candy giveaway!!! ;)

Star Card for OWH!!!

Hey guys!! I wanted to share my card for the Operation Write Home challenge. We were to use stars on our cards. I had made a card that was similar to this a couple of years ago. So I kinda used that as inspiration, because my brain couldn't think straight. We got some terrible news on Monday about my son's condition. I can't talk about it right now......I'm just too upset. I will be taking him to another doctor tomorrow. He will be doing another round of testing,so to get another opinion. I just ask for prayers for him and us. I really do not know how much more I can bear!!! Thanks for letting me rant.....hope your week has been better than mine!

Recipe for card :

Card stocks: Summer Sun,Taken With Teal,Ruby Red
Punches : Large and small star punches
Chocolate Chip Ribbon
